Since 1959, King Tire has been built on a simple promise: provide honest, dependable automotive services that customers can trust.

What began with Curtis King’s vision and a single location in Humboldt has grown into a multi-location business serving families across West Tennessee for more than 65 years. Curtis founded City Tire Company with a passion for doing things the right way - treating customers fairly and delivering quality tires and auto services.

10 years later, in 1969, the desire for expansion began and the second tire store was opened on Main Street in downtown Jackson.

That commitment carried into the next generation when his children Ricky and Georgann began working for the family business. Both children still play a vital role in who we are today.

In 1977, Curtis opened his third location at Old Hickory Blvd in Jackson, TN and renamed the business King Tire Company where Ricky became the store manager.

In 1983, the orginal tire store in Humboldt moved locations where it still stands today on Eastend Drive.

In 1996, King Tire moved from downtown Jackson to a new location on Airways Blvd.

Currently, the Kings has been fortunate enough to see the third generation working in the family business.
Curt King, Christopher King, Taylor Nicodemus, and Anna Surratt are determined to keep their “Gang Gang’s” legacy going strong at King Tire Company.
